Good evening, everyone. I'd like to welcome you to the Word of God by the branch of the Lord. Let's go to the Lord in prayer at this time. Precious Father God, we thank you for every opportunity, God, that you give us to go into your word, Lord. Please, God, keep our eyes upon thee, Lord. Quicken us each and every day, God, and remind us, God, that there is no one like unto thee. Please, God, put a zealousness in us to go into your word every day, Lord, so that we may learn of your words and grow thereby and be a help in time of need, and we will ask this humbly in your Son's holy name. Amen and amen. Tonight is the book of Psalm and we are in Psalm sixty eight, and we're going to look at some things here this evening as we go into the scriptures. And we won't get into many of the scriptures tonight because there's just so much to look at in one particular place. But in Psalm sixty eight in the heading, it reads to the chief musician a psalm or song of David. Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered, let them also that hate him flee before him. As smoke is driven away, so drive them away. As wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God. But let the righteous be glad, let them rejoice before God, yea let them exceedingly rejoice. Sing unto God, sing praises to his name, extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his name Jah, and rejoice before him. A father of the fatherless and a judge of the widows is God in his holy habitation. God said the solitary in families, he bringeth out those which are bound with chains, but the rebellious dwell in a dry land. O God, when thou wentest forth before thy people, when thou didst march through the wilderness, Salah, the earth shook, the heavens also dropped at the presence of God. Even Sinai itself was moved at the presence of God, the god of Israel. Thou, O God didst send a plentiful rain, whereby thou didst confirm thine inheritance when it was weary. Thy congregation hath dwelt therein, thou, O God hast prepared of thy goodness for the poor. The Lord gave the word. Great was the company of those that published it. Kings of armies did flee apace, and she that tarried at home divided the spoil. Though ye have lain among the pots, yet shall ye be as the wings of a dove covered with silver, and her feathers with yellow gold. When the almighty scattered kings in it, it was white as snow and salmon. The hill of God is as the hill of Bashon, and the high hill as the hill of Bashon. Why leap ye high hills? This is the hill which God deserved to dwell in. Yea the Lord will dwell in it forever. The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands of angels. The Lord is among them as in Sinai in the holy place. Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive, thou hast received gifts of men, yea for the rebellion rebellious also, that the Lord God might dwell among them. Blessed be the Lord who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation, Salah. He that is our God is the God of salvation, and unto God the Lord belong the issues from death, but God shall wound the head of his enemies, and the hairy scalp of such as and one as goeth on steel in his trespasses. The Lord said I will bring again from Bashon, I will bring my people again from the depths of the sea, that thy foot may be dipped in the blood of thine enemies and the tongue of thy dogs in the same. They have seen thy goings, O God, even the goings of my God, my king in the sanctuary. The singers went before, the players on instruments followed after. Among them were the damsels playing with tembrels. Bless ye God in the congregations, even the Lord, from the fountain of Israel. There is little Benjamin with their ruler, the princes of Judah and their council, the princes of Zebulun, and the princes of Naphtali. Thy God hath commanded thy strength, strengthen, O God, that which thou hast wrought for us, because of thy temple at Jerusalem shall kings bring presents unto thee. Rebuke the company of spearmen, the multitude of the bulls with the calves of the people, till every one submit himself with pieces of silver. Scatter thou the people that delight in war. Princes shall come out of Egypt, Ethiopia shall soon stretch out her hands unto God. Sing unto God ye kingdoms of the earth, O sing praises unto the Lord, Salah. To him that rideth upon the heavens of heavens, which were of old, lo he does send out his voice, and that a mighty voice. Ascribe ye strength unto God, his excellency is over Israel, and his strength is in the clouds. O God, thou art terrible out of thy holy places. The God of Israel is he that giveth strength and power unto his people. Blessed be God. Now there are thirty-five scriptures in this chapter here, so you know we will not get through all of this this evening, uh, because there is much to go over. Uh we will probably have to take the rest of uh this month and part of uh May to get through this whole chapter here. Uh you know the Lord brings out there in um 1 Corinthians 15, 46, howbeit that which is first is not spiritual, but that which is natural and then that which is spiritual. So uh we want to go in and search the scriptures like Jesus told us to do and see what God has to say about these things. I want to know the truth, and I know you do. So we don't want to just read like we could just read and close it, but we're not gonna do that. We're gonna go back to the heading there in Psalm, and we are going to look at the chief musician. Remember, that's Jedathan, and uh a song or a psalm or song. So uh we looked at that also a couple of weeks ago, and we know that that's not the same thing. Now, uh in scripture one here, this is something that we really want to look at. This is probably gonna be the only scripture we get to go over this evening, and I'm gonna show you why. You'll understand why uh there's a lot uh of understanding just in scripture one. So, and then we will look at the other scriptures uh as the Lord leads throughout the next week and so forth and so on. So uh we might get through scripture too, but we will look at scripture one here, and then uh because there are different things being brought out in this chapter, but it's all coming back to the same uh point that God is trying to bring out, uh, we want to take these things and look at them as God brings them out. All right. So uh, for example, like uh scripture three and four, uh, we will more than likely look at that together. And then scripture five right there is a whole lesson right by itself, a father of the fatherless. And then uh when you look at uh scripture six, it's the same thing, and scripture seven is the same thing. So we have to um we have to look at how uh the Lord is bringing these things out so that we stay focused on the message at hand. And when I was going through studying and uh looking at these things, uh the Lord asked the question, how does God arise? How does he arise? Because there uh in scripture one it says, let God arise, let his enemies be scattered, let them also that hate him flee before him. So just in that one scripture, there is a lot of information when you do as Jesus Christ instructs you and you search the scriptures. Uh also remember in uh 2 Timothy, so I'm gonna write this down because uh uh searching the scriptures, that's in John 5.39, St. John 5.39, and then study to show thyself uh study uh study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman who needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. And I'm sorry I was trying to write and talk at the same time. Uh but that that scripture there is in 2 Timothy 2.15. So we want to read. And we did. We went through we read the whole chapter, correct? And then we want to go back and look at these, uh, we want to study these things. We want to search the scriptures on them, and then we want to study them. This is how we end up learning what the truth of God is. So let God arise, let his enemies be scattered, let them also that hate him flee before him. So we're gonna look at um how does God arise. That's how we're gonna we're gonna look at that part, and then we're also gonna look at uh where does God dwell? So you have to know where he dwells to know how he has how he's arisen. So uh we're gonna go all the way back to the basics and we're gonna follow this all the way through. We're gonna take a journey through the scriptures so that we can understand what God is saying here about letting God arise. Now, John 424, God is the Spirit. Now, I want you to write these things down because I want you to be able to go back later and look at it. It's almost like a mathematical equation. Um, because you have to add this scripture to this scripture, uh, and add that scripture to that scripture. And when you bring it together, that's when you get the sum or the conclusion. All right. So John 4 24, God is a spirit, and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. So I'm gonna highlight that for when we go back to review, all right? So God's a spirit. Now, Deuteronomy 32, Scripture 4 reads, He is the rock, his work is perfect, for all his ways are judgment. A God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he. So he's a God of truth. So we're gonna highlight that part, okay? Now uh first John 4, Scripture 2. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God, every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God. So we're gonna highlight the Spirit of God. So so far we have uh God is a spirit, and then we have He's a God of truth. So then you've got the Spirit of God, and then John 14, 17, even the Spirit of Truth. We've got the Spirit of truth again, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him. But ye know him, for he dwelleth with you and shall be in you. That is so important. A lot of people want to think that God is on well out there off in Mars somewhere, or he's not a God that they cannot uh touch him. But it says, and and talking about his spirit, it says, For he dwelleth with you and shall be in you, in you. John 15, 26. But when the comforter, the comforter now, is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of Truth. So it tells you what the comforter is, the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me. John sixteen thirteen. How be it when he, the Spirit of truth, here it is again, Spirit of Truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth, for he shall not speak of himself, but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak, and he will show you things to come. First John four scripture six We are of God, he that knoweth God heareth us. He that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth and the spirit of error. And remember God said you can't serve two masters. You cannot serve God and that unrighteous mammon. You cannot serve the spirit of truth and the spirit of error. Understand what God is saying. John 17, Scriptures 20 through 23. Now uh so far, before we read that, so far we have God as a spirit, God is the truth, and then you've got the spirit of God, and that the spirit is truth. All right? So John 17, and we also have that uh and he shall be in you. So John 17, Scriptures 20 through 23. This is Jesus. I love that. If you go in and read St. John 17, Jesus is praying unto the Father on our behalf, and listen what he's praying in these few scriptures here. Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word, that they all may be one, as thou father art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us. I'm highlighting this. This is important, that they may be one in us. So that leaves all those fairy tales and all those fables and all the vain conversations received by the tradition of your fathers, that Jesus Christ is way off out there in Jupiter somewhere, and that his son is going to one day come down and swoop everybody up in their arms. Because the scripture right here that God wrote, I didn't write it, God wrote, said, They shall be one in us. All right. It says that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. God sent his son, and he is come. He is come. It says, and the glory which thou gavest me I have given them, that they may be one, even as we are one. Listen at this. Listen at this. Please don't take a sip of your drink right now or eat a cheese ball. Listen at what God is saying. I in them and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one. So you see right there, in the Father, in the Son, we're in them, and they in us, if so be that the Spirit of God is in you. Now keep that in mind, the word if. Alright? It says, and that the world may know that the that thou hast sent me and hast loved them as thou hast loved me. See, we say it all the time when we're praying, thank you, Jesus, thank you, Jesus. But we still have not comprehended what the scriptures are telling us. Because we are so busy, we're drunken, brothers and sisters. Uh, and I don't mean by alcohol, but we get drunken on what other people have to say. And you may say, Well, you're talking to us, but I'm telling you about what God wrote in his word. I'm not telling you about my thoughts and my opinions, nor will I ever, God, God forbid. Uh, but I'm telling you what is written right out of the scripture of truth so that you can go in yourself and search these things out. And if you would like a copy of tonight's lesson, all you have to do is send me a message on Messenger, or uh you can email us at Jesusthechrist Newsletter at Yahoo.com. It's free. Uh there won't be any charge. You don't have to even be concerned about that. We won't even ask for your name. It might be in your email, but we won't ask for it. Now, uh listen, going forward now, I and them and thou and me. Now, listen at John 2022, because thy that part right there, I and them and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one. How does that take place? John 2022. And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost. Now, who is Jesus talking to? Why do we feel like that that does not apply to us today? Why do we feel like that that is for people way back yonder somewhere? As we say in the South, or way back there. Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today, and forever. And his name is called the Word of God. So his word, and God even said that. He said, I am God. He said, I change not. And he was also called the Word of God. He said, Therefore, you sons of Jacob, are not consumed. So the word of God very much applies to us today. Please don't let the devil lie to you and say, Well, that's not for us. That's a lie. If you are reading the book of life, it's for you. That's our book of life. That's our manual, how we get through our life. That's how we know what God is saying. That's how we know how to have life or have success in this life. That's how we know how to raise our children and how a husband and a wife should act. This is how we know what we're supposed to be handling things when we're out in the workforce in different places in our life. And man says life doesn't come with a manual, but yes, it does, and it's called the Bible, the book of life. So uh when we lean to our own understanding, we get ourselves into a lot of fixes and we make a lot of mistakes, and I've been there. But then when you get to the understanding, wait a minute, God sent his word. He came that we have life and have it more abundantly. Is that not written? All right, so so uh now Jesus is telling us, receive ye the Holy Ghost. And uh we need to understand the purpose of the Holy Ghost, and that's what we're gonna look at here. John 14, 26, once again, the comforter. The comforter. We read it back over here uh uh in uh John 15. Well, we read, yeah, John 15, 26, uh, but right here in 1426, it says, the comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things and bring all things to your remembrance whatsoever I have said unto you. So for every one of you out there, brothers and sisters, that have said, God, I want to know the truth, God just told you how to get it. Now it's up to you to get it. So uh God is not gonna make anybody uh read his word, he's not gonna make anybody search the scriptures, he wants the people to come willingly. That means that you say, you know what, I do want to know the truth. So I am gonna take time, and I'm gonna ask God to forgive me if there's anything that's in me that's not pleasing unto him, and to give me of his spirit to teach me what his words mean. And then every day you go in and you study, you study, study to show yourself approved unto God. A workman who needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. So uh you've got to do this every day because that's how you grow. We don't just eat one time a week. We eat every day naturally because we know our body will become weak. Uh our organs will even start failing. When people go hungry, that's what takes place, and that's what actually kills when people die from starvation. It's because their organs stopped. They were not getting the proper nutrients and liquids that it needed to keep functioning. It's the same spiritually. If you do not eat the word of God daily, you get weak. And all those works of the flesh that you're trying to get rid of and all those things that you've repented from, guess what? They're going to try to come back because you're weak spiritually. So stay in the Word of God. It doesn't mean you got to keep your nose in the Bible 24-7. But every day, give us this day our daily bread. Go in and read. Uh uh wherever God will put you to read. You ask God, where would you have me read? And you go in there every day and you and then see what takes place as you read something and it sticks with you. And you might read, uh, like for example, we're we read 30, how many verses was it again? 35 uh scriptures, not verses, uh, 35 scriptures in the book of Psalm, 68 here. But scripture one is the one we're focusing on. Why? Because there's a lot of information in that scripture. First of all, we're look looking at how let God arise. And so we're gonna move on here because now we've looked at where Jesus said, Receive you the Holy Ghost. Uh, why? Because the Holy Ghost is gonna teach you all things and bring all things to your remembrance. Uh And that's out of the scripture. And then uh 1 John chapter 2, scripture 27 reads, but the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you. You see where it's at? It abides in you. I'm not talking about your doctrines that you've learned, those vain conversations. I'm not talking about those things you receive by the traditions of men. I'm talking about God's holy words. And for you to have the Holy Ghost and be studying the word of God and God teaching you what he said and what it means. He's not only teaching you what he wrote, he's teaching you what it means. That's when you have the Holy Ghost. But there are a lot of people that say, well, I have the Holy Ghost and I have the Spirit, but no, they do not because they still speak carnal minded teachings. But because the Holy Ghost is, is, listen, the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things. It doesn't say that the Holy Ghost, whom I will send in, whom He will send in my name, will teach you of the books of men, who will teach you of the Babylonian teachings, who will teach you what they think over there and how they do things over there. It's not about your thoughts and opinions and how you do things, but it's about how God does things. All right. And that's what we want to know. God, what did you have to say about this matter? Jeremiah 23, 35, uh, I love that scripture. What hath the Lord spoken and what hath the Lord answered? And it's also written in Scripture 37 in that same chapter. What is the Lord spoken? All right. So uh Hebrews 8, Scriptures 10 and 11, says, For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of let me let me let me back up. I apologize. Let me go back to 1 John 2, Scripture 27 and finish it. But the anointing which we have received of him abideth in you, and you need not that any man, any, any man teach you. Why? Because man is flesh, but there is holy men. There's a difference. Holy man and man. Man is flesh, holy men are moved by the Holy Ghost. Romans 8 14 brings out, for as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. Those are holy men. We're not talking about just men. Men are the ones that write the books that are drawing you away from the holy words of God. All right. It says, and it's and it's truth and is no lie. And even it is it, and even as they have taught you, you shall abide in him. So there it is again. Abide in him. Don't let nothing move you from the Holy Ghost. Uh uh, and what will move you from the Holy Ghost is things below. Don't let those things pull you away from what God has given you. So Hebrews 8, 10, and 11 says, For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, talking about these days that we're in, saith the Lord. I will put, I'm highlighting, I will put my laws into their mind and write them in their hearts. And I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people, and they shall not teach every man his neighbor and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord, for all shall know me from the least to the greatest. Jesus said they will, or God said, They will reverence my son. So um so far, let's review God is the Spirit, God is truth, he's the Spirit of God, the Spirit of truth, he is our comforter, and um He is in us, and we are in Him. And that's why Jesus told us to receive you the Holy Ghost, which is our comforter, and that is that anointing which you received of him, and it's in you, and you shall abide. He's in you, and you shall abide in him. And see, God said right here, I will put my laws into their mind and write them in their hearts. Now, we're gonna stop there for just a second and we're gonna look at something, and you're probably gonna get tired of hearing me say this, but I have to keep saying it uh until everybody comprehends it. So if you've heard it 25 times, please forgive me, but there may be one person that has not heard it. If you look into the books of men and you allow the books of men to teach you, how can God put his laws in your heart? How can God put his laws in your mind? Because you're reading their books. Well, those books are easier to understand. There's nothing hard about God's word. The devil has lied to you because the Holy Ghost said he would teach you all things and bring all things to your remembrance. So we want to take the easy way out, which is not really good, because when we run to those books of men, those books, please look on the front of that book. It was written by a man. A man, not a holy man. A man said, you know what? I heard somebody say they couldn't understand that book. So I'm gonna go in and I'm gonna write my own book, but I'm gonna use God's words, but I'm gonna change it to the natural definition so the people can understand it. But please understand this day, God is a spirit, brothers and sisters. He's a spirit. So uh when you turn, when man, and it's even written in Romans uh 1.25, they changed the truth of God and turned it into a lie. Now, and if you read that, what they changed, that's what you're reading is lies. Please wake up and understand this. Please pray and ask God, because this is your soul. When you are on your deathbed, if you even get to see a deathbed, some people just die. They don't even get to see it coming. What can you do for God? Don't take my word for it. You go in and you say, God is what I'm hearing, the truth. Because if it's God, man's name on the outside of a book, they took it from God's word. Just like uh many of the things that we do nowadays, they took the pattern out of the book of life. Man didn't come up with this stuff on their own. They think they did. They leave God out of it and they try to take glory for themselves. But man didn't take up these things on their own. They got it out of God's pattern. Even our governments. Look at how our governments are formed. They got it out of God's word. That's why they say in God we trust. But they do not trust in God because if they did, they would not be self-led. And this country would not be in the state that it is. Yeah, I said it. Because they know it's true. All right. So if we want things to be turned around, we've got to start listening to what God is saying to us. We've got to start listening to God's word. All right, because if man's books were uh any good for the people, the land would be healed. The devil's so crafty. Listen, he's so crafty. I heard someone years ago, um, a wise man, he was talking to me one day, and uh he was a tutor for me and the Lord. He helped me greatly. Uh and he told me, he said, you know, back when I was a little child, and he was older, so when he was a little child, uh, we're talking about during the times of the depression, and he said, you know, uh a lot of people suffered during that time. Even the rich people, naturally rich people, uh the realized that their riches didn't mean anything because if there was no product for them to buy, their money didn't mean anything. So um let's understand what it is that the Lord is saying unto us. Uh uh, you know, the devil used a lot of uh things back then, like the a lot of the my own grandfather had to work in the field. So he only got a second grade education. Now he was a very bright man, but as far as reading and writing, he only got a second grade education. Uh, but he could build a house uh like you wouldn't believe. And um, but so but that was the trick of the devil then. But then the people started getting smart and started getting educated. So then the devil had to try to get smarter and come up with something else. Now uh when you look, there's all this technology out there that is really when uh I want you to just examine when you're out in the public how many people have their face in a phone. Uh I see whole families at restaurants when it's supposed to be a mealtime and families talking together with each other, and every one of them, even the children, have phones and they're all sitting there and they're engrossed in what they're looking at. They're not even talking or conversing to one another. And that's just, and I'm not trying to sound like, you know, I'm being old-fashioned. I have a cell phone myself, and yes, I use my cell phone. But uh the point is the devil has always tried to um outdo God, and he never will. So uh God's gonna keep his word, he's gonna keep it protected. So then now he's come along with all these books, uh, and if you ever go into a bookstore, there's tons of them. Uh, there are so many of them, it's like, well, which one do I get? What do I read? So most people get what everybody else is getting. But I want you to understand something. If you're gonna follow Christ, and his name is called the Word of God. That's what a disciple is. They follow Christ, and his name is called the Word of God. If you start following those books, you are not a disciple of Christ, and you don't even realize it. You don't even realize how crafty the devil was, and it drew you away from the book of life. Because remember there in Deuteronomy 4 in Revelation 22, God said not to add to this book or take away from this book. So uh let's understand if we want if we want salvation, we're gonna have to do it God's way. Going all the way back to God as a spirit, he did not send the books of men, brothers and sisters. He sent the book of life, spiritual book. He's also a God of truth, and he will be in us. And he said here in these last days, there in Hebrews, that he will put, he said, I will put my laws, not the books of men, not your thoughts and opinions, I will put my laws into their mind and write them in their hearts, and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people. But if you refuse the word of God, you refuse the Spirit of God, and you run after the books of men, what did you do? You couldn't enter into that covenant with him. And how can he put his laws in your mind and write them in your heart? Because you're not looking at them, you're looking at something else. Jeremiah 29, 19. I know God's not going, that's not gonna be the only time that will be brought out because God's already brought it out so many times. Um and obviously someone needs to hear it that hasn't heard it before. So just bear with it when you hear that again. Here she goes talking about books again. Yes, I am. I'm gonna keep on till everybody understands if you read the wrong book, you're gonna get the wrong information. And it's because I love you. A lot of fear comes on me when people talk about all those other books out there. If they were to save the soul, the land would be healed. Wake up. Jeremiah 29, 19, because they have not hearkened to my words. Wake up and listen. Shake yourself. They have not hearkened to my words. Why? Because they're hearkening to the books of men, they're hearkening to the words of men, they're hearkening to the doctrines and commandments of men. They're not hearkening to the truth of God, by the Spirit of God, by the word of God. They have not hearkened to my words, saith the Lord, which I sent unto them by my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them. We're gonna highlight that, rising up early and sending them. But ye would not hear, saith the Lord. Some people still won't hear today. Well, I won't read this book over here. I don't I don't want to hear that. I'm gonna read what I'm gonna read. Well, you go right ahead. That's between you and the Father. But you cannot say one day before God, I did not know, because God's gonna say, Yes, you did know. And for those who didn't know, he's gonna tell them, but you could have known. Because I sent my word. I sent my word. I sent them by my servants to prophets, rising up early and sending them, but you did not hear. You would not hear. I sent my son, and they set away with him, and his name was called the Word of God. They did not want to hear the words of God because they wanted to hear their own thoughts, their own opinions. They wanted their revenue mess with their money that they were making, and they didn't want the books of men that they were following to be done away with because that's what that's what Jesus came to do. What do you think he did when he came and overturned their tables? Did a natural man go into a natural synagogue and flip a table over? What did that profit? The tables, the two tables of testimony. We know that's the word of God. So think about it. When he went in and overturned their tables, what did he do? He overturned their, those vain conversations received by the tradition of your fathers, the doctrines and commandments of men. That's what he overturned, and he overturned it by his word. His words are true. Those words are not. Now, Psalm 107, 20, he sent his word. His word, not the books of men, brothers and sisters, not the doctrines and commandments of men, not the Babylonian teachings, the 45,000 plus religions out there in the world, God did not send them. So when they say unto you, come over here and serve Jesus with us, God did not send them. He sent his son Jesus. And there is none other name given under heaven wherein a man can be saved. Now, if you don't want to receive that, that's between you and God. But that's what God said. That's not what I'm saying. That's what God said. There's no other name given. Run after all them doctrines out there. Go out there and find you one that will serve or worship and praise the way you want to worship and praise. Should we not do it the way God wants it? Is it not he that forgives us of our sins? Is it not he that gives us of his spirit? Is it not he that teaches what his words mean? Is it not he that decides whether we make it into heaven or not? John 12, 32, and if and I, listen what Jesus is saying, and I, if I not the books of men, remember his name's called the Word of God, and if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. You lift up the books of men, you follow, you're getting people to follow those books. But if you want to lift up something that's true, that is everlasting, that will not fail, nor be defeated because they have the victory. We have the victory, then you're gonna have to lift up Jesus. And that is how you lift up God. So how do you lift up Jesus? Well, let's listen to him. Now we've already read Revelation 19, 13, and his name is called the Word of God. So how do we lift up Jesus and His name is called the Word of God? We repent of our sins, which is the transgression of the law, and we've all transgressed it because people are flocking after the books of men. That's the transgression of the law. You went away from God's laws to see what the books of men had to say when you should have been looking at what God had to say. All right? So then you repent from that and you ask God to forgive you of your sins, and then you stand before God clean because he will forgive you if you ask in sincerity. And then he will put his spirit in you. God, give me of your spirit, the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of truth, my comforter, to teach me what your words mean. Because God, you're a spirit. Your law is spiritual, so please, God, teach me. And then you go in every day and you start studying. You start reading and studying. And the more time you give to God, the more that God can give unto you. All right, so every day you do this. It's not a question, it's not a matter of, well, I don't know if I have time. No, you're making time. You're gonna make time. You're not gonna let, you're not putting God on the back burner anymore. You're gonna make time for God every day. And you've got to have that made up mind. Nothing will hinder me this day, nothing, from serving the Lord and from learning and from growing. All right? So, uh, and you do that, and then there will come a time when you will be able to help someone spiritually because God gave you some knowledge, wisdom, and understanding. He wrote it in your heart and he wrote it in your mind. Now it's in there. And if it's in you, the Holy Ghost can bring it back out of you. If it's not in there, the Holy Ghost can't, you can't help anybody. You give them your thoughts and opinions and your advice, but it's not about that. So if it if you allow the Holy Ghost to put it in you, then he can bring it back out of you at the time appointed, which means at the time that it's needed. So, so then you begin to lift Christ up. You begin to lift up his words, you begin letting the people know. Well, listen at what he said in his word. You begin to help the people. That's lifting him up. And remember, he is in the Father. So if you lift up the Son, you're gonna lift up the Father. Because you're lifting up the Word, the Word of God, the book of life, not the books of men. I hope that has helped someone tonight, because uh that is how when you look at this next part here of that first scripture in Psalm 68, let God arise. Now we know how to let God dwell in us, how to be taught of God, and how to let him arise. It says, let his enemies be scattered, all right? So who are God's enemies? Remember, we've read many uh times, we know it's the devil, we know it's the works of darkness, we know that it's the works of the flesh, we know it's that unrighteous mammon, all right? And just like the spirit of God works in the people, well, the devil works in the people also. So uh love your enemies. You want to let God arise, you want to speak the words of truth to help your enemy. To help them do what? To quit from being your enemy, to turn them back to the Father, just like you. Just like you. All right? So uh how are the enemies of God scattered? 2 Peter 2, 4. For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness to be reserved unto judgment. That's a lesson right there in itself. Psalm 92, nine. For lo, thine enemies, O Lord, for lo thine enemies shall perish, all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered. Now I want us to understand something. The sheep of God are there in Psalm 23, it said we would lie down in green pastures, correct? That uh God would restore our soul, that his rod and staff comforts us. Uh so uh, but we're in we're he leads us by the still waters, and we're in green pastures. We are the sheep of his pasture. You can find that written in Psalm. He's the great shepherd of the sheep. So he is our shepherd, we are his sheep. So uh uh when the the sheep are scattered, it's because a wolf has entered in somewhere. All right, think about that. Uh uh and remember there's the foxes too. Uh look at Herod, Jesus called Herod that old fox because they're crafty. And they can lead the people away, but they'll do it one sheep at a time. It says, all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered. Ezekiel 36, 19, and I scattered them among the heathen. So now it tells you where they were scattered among the heathen. When you look up heathen, it means no knowledge. They might have eight master's degrees, but they have no knowledge of God. So he scattered them among the heathen. And they were dispersed through the countries according to their way, and according to their Their doings, I judged them. So keep that in mind. We want to stay in God's good graces. And how we do that is every day we uh we go into the word. And um it doesn't mean you can't do the things that you want to do, uh, as far as going to work and and going out to eat uh with uh dinner with friends. Uh but God is wanting his people to go back to him so he can teach them the truth. And see, then when you're out and about, there's there's times when me and my daughter go and do things, and I'll be sitting over in the passenger seat and uh looking out at the beautiful whatever we're passing scenery. And uh, but I'll be thinking about what I read. You know, I'll be thinking about a scripture God put in my heart and mine. But see, you can't even do that, like Mary pondered these things in our heart. You can't even do that if you don't get it in you. There's got to be a start somewhere. So start reading, start getting it in you, start listening to the word of God. So we're gonna review before we pray. Uh I told you we wouldn't get through, but just scripture one tonight. Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered, let them also that hate him flee before him. So we looked at how does God arise? Uh, and uh we also looked at uh searching the scriptures and studying to show ourselves approved unto God. Also, Isaiah 34, 16 is another great scripture because it brings out to uh seek ye out of the book of the Lord and read, not the books of men. So that's uh Isaiah 34, 16, seek ye out of the book of the Lord and read. And uh we looked at God is the spirit, so where how does God arise? Where does God dwell? He's the He's the God of truth, He's the Spirit of God, the Spirit of Truth. He shall be in you. He is our comforter, that spirit of truth. Uh and Jesus prays, said, Thou Father art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us. And again, in that same uh passage there in John 17, I in them and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one. So Jesus tells us to receive you the Holy Ghost, uh, because he's our comforter and he will teach us all things and bring all things to our remembrance. And that is that anointing which we have received of God, and he abides in us, and we abide in him. And uh and that's how God, uh that covenant that he made with us in these last days, when he said, I will put my laws into their mind and write them in their hearts, that's how he does it, is by the Holy Ghost. So uh, but the people didn't want to hear, uh, even though God sent his prophets rising up early and sending them uh with his words. Uh once again he sent his word there in Psalm. And uh, but he's telling us if we receive the gift of the Holy Ghost and allow God to teach us, then uh as we go forth and we speak something to help someone, we're lifting him up from the earth. And he said, if he was lifted up from the earth, that he would draw all men into himself, and his name is called the word of God. So we've got to turn back to his word and begin to lift up his word, not the books of men. The books of men are pulling the people away from the words of God, and they're what they're pulling them to is among the heathen. Uh where we said, How are the enemies uh how are the enemies of God scattered? So you see the devil's crafty. The devil does not want you to grow, he does not want you to progress uh in your journey with God, so he's going to do whatever he can to pull you away from the book of life. Be wise as a serpent, but harmless as a dove, brothers and sisters. Let us pray. Precious Father God, we thank you for these words, God. These words of truth, Lord. Please, God, let them be written in our heart and in our mind. Please let us take a hold of what you are telling us, God. For you keep calling, God, and calling and calling for the people to come back unto you, Lord. And my prayer this night, God, is that the people will see and know that you sent your words, God, to heal us. You did not send anyone else's word. You sent your words, God, and that is what's going to heal the land, Lord. So I pray, God, that you soften the people's hearts, God. Please, God, turn us again, Lord, so that we shall be saved, God. And I will ask all this humbly and humbly, humbly, in thy son's holy name. Amen and amen. Thank you, Lord. Be blessed this night.
